That “something bet-
ter” came in 2019 when she
starred in a Christian film
Sunrise in Heaven (2019),
that somewhat reflected
Caylee’s life. She shared,
“Jan Hurst wrote the book
(His Sunrise, My Sunset), on
which the film was based,
about her real life and a
man named Steve. It’s a
story about a father’s love
for his daughter. I never ex-
perienced a father’s love, ex-
cept through my stepfather,
Steve. Since my biological
father passed away this past
Caylee Cowan summer, and in the movie,
the character is in a coma,
doing the movie actually mirrored part of my own life.”
Caylee does not shy away from sharing her feelings about
God, which was a part of the movie’s storyline … love. “Love
is most important to me. Because I can’t tell you what God is
like, the way I understand it is that He can be interchanged
with the word Love … agape love. The word “God” is Yah-
